It’s hard to believe that my dream has finally come true. This is a goal I have been working towards at my own pace for some time. Well years in fact. Most of all I really wanted to help parents of autistic children. That’s the goal.
It’s so exciting to see my book in print finally I can see it in black and white. The words pour over the pages and it’s me talking. No fancy terms or words just me. It’s made me realise just how much my son has achieved in his life and while the journey was a long one it is filled with many happy memories. Reflecting on the life that has made my son into a lovely human being, despite the challenges and adversity he faced with autism. In fact, he helped everyone in his orbit to embrace autism and everything it stands for.
I’ll never forget how hard it was to be told my son had autism. I had all the natural expectations for him like playing football and making friends at school. It was life changing. My book is written to show you it’s not the end of the world. Its just a different world and if you can accept and adjust to it you will find it just as rewarding.
More soon…
Phil
